Halloween for Hunger

Did you know that 36.2 million Americans live in food insecure households? Thats 12.4 million children with not enough food to eat.

We will be trick-or-treating for canned foods to collect for a local food bank— Ecumenical Hunger Program.

Wear your costumes to trick or treat for cans! Get community service hours for trick or treating?!!

When: Halloween Evening (Oct 31st) 4:30-6:30 at Mitchell Park Community Center (we organized it early so you can still go with your friends later on!)

November Car Wash

November 7th: 11:30-3:30
Funds will be donated to End Polio Now! Tell your parents about it so they can get their cars washed for a good cause on the cheap!

Guatemala Service Trip

Spring Break
Applications are available on the website and are due by WEDNESDAY, OCT 14. The Wednesday of homecoming week. Turn them into Mr.Deggeller’s box in the front office. You should have the application sheet and your typed up answers stapled or paper clipped so that we can keep the two together. Thank you so much for your interest and we will keep you updated on further Guatemala notifications.
p.s. We HIGHLY recommend attending FLC if you are interested in going to Guatemala, it is not required and if you do attend FLC you are not guaranteed a spot on the Guatemala trip.

Fall Leadership Conference

October 18th

This inspiring event stems from the spirit of 1,000+ Interactors joining together to celebrate service and leadership combined.

This is a chance to:
1. Learn new leadership skills to bring back to your school clubs via workshops
2. Network and build connections with other passionate Interactors
3. Discover our new, exciting INTERNATIONAL PROJECT this year. [Last year, we raised over $80,000 for HydrAid!]
4. Meet the Rotarains and District Council! They help make this district the best district of the world.
5. REPRESENT your area and show off your Area T-shirts.
6. Get the scoop on the “BIG SURPRISE” at the end of the year from the Special Events Coordinator!!!

Interested Guatemala Applicants are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to go

Make a Difference Day

October 24th
Two Shifts: 8:30am-12:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm

Join YCS and local community members from Palo Alto and East Palo Alto, Intel volunteers, Stanford students to help makeover the Ravenswood school sites.

This day of service and learning will result in a makeover of the Ravenswood District administrative office building. We will be doing exterior painting and service learning projects for younger children.

Moonlight Run

October 2nd 5:00-9:00

Spend a night cheering on participants, handing out water, or facilitating booths! Kick off the year with one of the most enjoyable projects of the year.
